Did you notice what Stefan and Damon were doing while Katherine and Elena had their face-off at the end of “The House Guest”? NOTHING. That’s right. They just kinda stood there stunned as the two most fiery women they’ve met in centuries gave each other a verbal lashing and a deadly stare-down. Sure, the Salvatores are tough guys. They’ve killed people with their bare fangs. They’ve battled evil and won. But they’ve never dealt with two woman who hate each other as much as Elena and Katherine do—and, frankly, it seems like they’re in over their heads.
