Kimathi University College of Technology (KuCity): CAMPUS DIVAS FOR RICH MEN

Kimathi University College of Technology (KuCity): CAMPUS DIVAS FOR RICH MEN

CAMPUS DIVAS FOR RICH MEN

CAMPUS DIVAS FOR RICH MEN

The facebook page Campus Divas For Rich Men is page that has elicited alot of interest in the past few days.Since the debate on kiss 100 a few days ago by Shaffie Weru and Kalekye Mumo on the  rush hour as well as Caroline Mutoko’s morning show the page has grown wildly.It now has over 30,000 likes and is still growing.Is this a replica of what is really happening in our instituions of higher learning?Are the young ladies in this institutions this hungry for money,luxuries and a smooth life?Is the moral fabric this stained with wild thirsts and lust for money and pleasure?

The government having increased the number of universities in the country implies that now a higher population has access to the instituions.Introduction of parallel programmes and the accelerated university intakealso  implies that young kenyans who have not really matured emotionally and maybe mentally are now in the instituions where everyone is a guard of their live.But can we blame the government for this?It would be pointless to do so?So where does the problem lie?Who is to blame?
Searching for answers for this questions has brought me to a dead end.Some part of me would love to believe that the 30,000 divas out hunting for rich men is quite a  negligible number.But it is not.At what point does education have impact on ones life.Isn’t it pointless to be of great knowldge and no morals?
You be the judge but the group keeps growing,other groups against it keep sprouting an interesting one being Campus Hunks For Rich Women.

The administrator of the group has been linked with satanism.i’d call him a disturbed guy..one of his posts reads “Angel from below,i wish to sell my soul,devil take my soul,with diamonds you repay i don’t care for heaven.....”some say all this is after a love story gone sour.

But one thing is for sure times have changed..and this is an E-brothel that I pray will die out soon enough. Bringham Young once said “when you educate a man you educate a man,and when you educate a woman you educate a generation”we should not allow generations to be destroyed by people  whose lives no longer have meaning.Take charge of your life look ahead,make wise choises ,make a change.

Prof Saitoti Laid to Rest

Photo | PETERSON GITHAIGA|NATION Pall bearers among them cabinet ministers lower the coffin carrying the body of Prof George Saitoti into the grave at his home in Kitengela on June 16, 2012.

Prof George Saitoti was today finally laid to rest in his Enkasiti Home in Kitengela. People from all walks of life gathered to give the Professor a decent send off.

The meeting included 20 cabinet ministers, 90 members of Parliament and two ministers, one from Tanzania and Southern Sudan.

Tanzanian Foreign Affairs Minister read Jakaya Kikwete's message, who said that his passing was a loss of integration efforts in the East Africa Community.

Indeed Kenya has lost an Elite leader who showed devotion to his work, especially as a Mathematician who impacted the lives of his student while he was a lecturer in the University of Nairobi to his current docket  as Minister of Internal Security.

May his Soul Rest in Peace.

Officiating of KUCTSO 2012/2013

This evening at 5pm saw the swearing in of the new student council leaders, who took mandate after it was handed to them officially by the outgoing Kuctso 2011/2012 leaders.

This comes to us as after we saw a thrilling and intensive campaign last week from the nominees. The incoming leaders comprises of :
Peter Kabutu - Chairman
John Kunyiha - Secretary General
Zachariah Bosire - Finance Representative
Irungu Kasisi  - Academic Secretary
Esther Wanjiru - Catering and Accommodation Representative
Irene Lumumba - Community and External Affairs Representative

We are still awaiting for the by-election of the Vice Chairman after the only nominee failed to attain the 50% vote of the students as per the Electoral Commision.

Lets hope that the incoming Student leader make an impact and follow up their manifestos that they declared during their Campaign Train. All said and done we await to see how the carry through their term.

Kenyan Minister Fatal Accident

Prof George Saitoti, Kenyan Internal Minister, met his death in a tragic accident through a helicopter crash, in Kibiko, Ngong, just in the outskirts of Nairobi.

He was alongside six others among them being his assistant Orwa Ojode, the bodyguards and pilot. No cause has been established to rally the reason as to how the plane crashed. Eye witnesses say the plane crashed down and burst into flames.

Prof Saitoti was one of the key poiliticians aspiring to run for the presidential race during the countries forthcoming General Elections.

The 66 year old was said to have been heading for a security meeting when the plane crashed on Sunday morning.

A journalist for AFP news agency saw six charred bodies being removed from the wreckage.

Another reporter at the scene says debris of the burnt-out police helicopter were strewn in the brush.
Leading politician

The death of Saitoti is a "great tragedy that has befallen our country at this time as we are making elaborate preparations to hold peaceful elections," Prime Minister Raila Odinga said at the scene of the crash, a forest in the city's outskirts.
It was not immediately clear what caused the accident. Kenyan police cordoned off the scene of the crash and said they were investigating. Rescue officials collected the charred and scattered remains of those killed.

"As we speak now, nobody knows the cause of the accident," Odinga said. "Nobody knows, and that's why the experts are going to carry out investigations." He said that Saitoti and Ojode were on their way to a political event in western Kenya.

Saitoti, an American-trained economist and mathematician, was one of the most visible figures in Kenyan politics. For over a decade he was a deputy to former President Daniel arap Moi.

As security minister he was the government's spokesman on security matters, including Kenya's decision to send troops to Somalia last year. Analysts say he played a key role in that decision. Saitoti appeared often on national television to reassure the public in the aftermath of deadly attacks blamed on the Somali militant group al-Shabab.

All that is in the minds of Kenyans right now is to hope that his souls rest in peace.

THINK THIS OVER

Today we have higher buildings and wider highways, but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view

We spend more, but enjoy less

We have bigger houses, but smaller families

We have more compromises, but less time

We have more knowledge, but less judgment

We have more medicines, but less health

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values

We talk too much, we love only a little, and we hate too much

We reached the moon and came back, but find trouble to cross our own street and meet our neighbor

We have conquered the outer space but not the inner space

We have high income, but lesser morals

These are times with more liberty, but less joy……

With much more food, but less nutrition

These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes

That’s why I propose that as from today you don’t keep anything for a special occasion, because every day that you live is a special occasion. Life is a chain of moments of enjoyments; it isn’t only a survival. Use your crystal goblets. Do not save your best perfume, and use it every time you feel you want it. Take out from your vocabulary phrases like “one of these days” and “someday”.

SUCCESS LEGENDARY

Father and son evening stroll as the sun goes down;
He taps my shoulder and says:
“You are a success legend my son
Go ahead, go get it, life awaits you with greatness
Don’t you be stumbled, there are many ways through
Go my child go;
Dream whatever you desire to dream,
Go wherever you wish,
Seek whatever you desire
Coz life is unique by how you shape it;
Life is beautiful and the beauty you behold inside,
Will beget success.

You’ll be there someday, hold high your breath
You can go the distance, miles and miles you’ll come out alive
Don’t you be scared, you’ll find your way
I crane my neck ahead there Is a treasure for you
You can’t wither, you’ll weather all the storms
Coz a journey of victory isn’t devoid of thorns and thwarts
Take heart my son, you have my blessings
And my spirit will forever hover over you
I tell it to your tender face, you’ll make a great man
To carry our name with prestige down our pedigree
Fight my son fight, tough it out you are a success legend.

I was once like you with troubles of a man who desire success
My father was a peasant gardener,
My mother a desperate housewife
I was in misery, my soul was weary and my heart was laboring,
But my mother said a prayer for me every night
And I could feel her hugs and kisses in my bed of desolation,
I learnt to take a step in life, to walk and to fly;
Mama cried for every step I took in life and thanked God
And my papa’s glory of his old age was the merits of his wisdom
My father my mentor my inspiration passed on
Sorrow of the bereaved onto us but I knew I had to make it through.

My son you’ll wear in life and your soul shall tear,
Not an iota of water to cool your throat in the tough terrain;
But the beauty you behold inside shall outweigh all the fear
Be strong my son don’t you surrender and live to fight for another day;
Two steps in front, one behind you’re still going ahead my son
Listen to your heart, don’t you chance the battle of flesh and soul
Don’t you flare up a fire to break your inside;
Be a man of integrity, it goes with a price
My blood runs in your veins, I will forever be with you
Never to give up on you, never to live your side;
My breath may expire but I pray the Lord my soul to take,
And in heaven, I’ll watch over you and guide your steps.

It pleasures my soul to see you take your first step in life;
Walk my son walk, learn to fly and take your mother with you
We are all she made us, a mother of great men;
When you learn to flap your wings and fly, take her with you
And don’t you forget her children, they’ll carry you someday;
Shelter her from the storms, she is the love of my life
When she is left without me, catch her breath as she sobs;
Bewail and lament her gone lover with her, tell her I loved her
I’ll forever hold her hand in mine and feel her heart close to mine;
Take care of her we danced in love she’ll stumble in sorrow.
Shower her with smiles, your victory will light up her heart;
You must make it my son, for your mother you must.

I can’t hold back my tears, I hold his hand in mine and reassure him:
“Yes father I can go the distance, I’ll find my way, I’ll make it there;
The cold may explode and the path may be long but you’ll always be,
Never will I chicken out but farther I’ll become, for you I will
For my mother, our guardian angel I will;
I’ll swim the ocean, I’ll go the distance
But father you won’t die on us, you’ll never give up on us
You’ll be the first to tread the grounds of success;
And I’ll follow with mother and her children,
Together we’ll never part eternally.”
The sun has already gone down.
For all I’ve been,
For all I am,
And for all I hope to be,
I’ll be your son, for I owe it all unto you.
Father and mother I love you endlessly.
